Innisfree white tone up line review

This milky white liquid goes a long way. Given the large hole in the top of the bottle it is easy to go overboard on the application. I definitely have to leave my skin a minute or so before doing the next step of my routine, just to give it time to sink in. I’ve been using this twice a day in my routine – am and pm.

Repurchase worthy?

The Innisfree website is full of glowing reviews for this. After six weeks of use I can certainly appreciate having this in my routine. Particularly now I’ve started using actives this has helped keep my skin nice and soft. I have seen some fading of the red spots on my face but I wouldn’t put it down to this alone as a couple of weeks after starting this I started a new CosRX Essence (review coming soon!)

On the whole though I would say my skin looks brighter and there’s less greyness since using this. I’ve also used barely any in the six weeks of use, so it’s certainly going to last me a while. I’m really happy with this and when it finally runs out (in about three months I reckon) I think I’ll be buying more.

After hauling on makeup products like a mad girl for over a year, I decided to slow down a bit and concentrate on skin-care products. Rati Di’s glowing skin has inspired me a lot and I decided to get the best things for my skin. As I have described before, my skin is moody like me and is always ready to throw tantrums. It is super oily most of the times, but becomes dry and dehydrated at times. It gets tanned super fast, is sensitive to multiple harsh products, full of whiteheads, develops acnes and pimples which leave the worst scars. So, when I took up the challenge of fighting all these odds, I had to be super careful. I picked up this product without reading any reviews. I kept my fingers crossed, trusted the brand and started using this product. Read the review to know if it has improved my skin condition in two weeks.

My Experience with Innisfree White Tone Up Cream:

Packaging: The product comes in a plastic, opaque, travel-friendly packaging. The outer paper carton has all the product details described on it. The cap fits tightly and there is never an issue of product wastage. Tub-packaging may look a little unhygienic, but then again, tubes lead to a lot of product wastage. It is always a good idea to wash your hands well before bringing out a product from the container and to make sure not taking out too much at a time. In this way, you can maintain the hygiene. Also, the instruction says that you should not keep the cap open for long. So, I take out the amount I need at a time and close the lid. Overall, I am happy with the packaging.

Colour, texture and fragrance: This is a gel based product. It is not an opaque light gel. It is a little heavy than that and whitish in colour. But it feels light on the skin and never feels sticky (it will if you over apply it). It blends onto the skin with ease. The fragrance is very natural and sweet. However, the fragrance does not persist for long and fades away soon after application.

Efficiency: I have avoided whitening products for all these years, as I do not believe in their “It will make you fair in 10 days” claim. However, this product claimed to brighten up the complexion. I have been using it for nearly a month now, and it does fulfill the claim completely.

It blends beautifully into the skin, without making it too matte or too oily. I use it as a substitute for my day cream and it keeps my skin moisturized both in A.C. and the non-A.C. environment. Maybe, dry skinned beauties will need a little more moisturizer. A minimum amount is required for the whole face. The amount I have shown in the swatch is good enough for two uses. If you need more hydration, you may use a little more, but too much product won’t get blended and may feel sticky on the face.

It makes the skin look hydrated, soon after the application. The skin looks purified and rejuvenated. It works great as a makeup base too. Regular application definitely brightens up the face, tightens the pores and gives a porcelain, milky white effect like most of the other Korean products. It does not claim to reduce acne spots and no such effect is seen either. However, it does work on the blemishes, tan and uneven skin-tone. It also never causes any breakouts. I love how my skin looks these days and I feel pretty confident about going out without any makeup too.
